Position Overview
Nykaa is seeking an experienced Travel Manager to oversee comprehensive corporate travel operations, including individual and group bookings, internal events/offsites, and vendor negotiations. This role ensures cost-effective, policy-compliant, and seamless travel experiences for employees while maximizing efficiency through travel systems such as Self-Booking Tools (SBT). The ideal candidate will bring strong negotiation skills, a deep understanding of both domestic and international travel logistics, and the ability to analyze data for strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
1. Corporate Travel Management
- Manage end-to-end corporate travel, including flights, hotels, ground transport, and visa processing.
- Ensure employee travel complies with company policies and delivers a balance between cost-effectiveness and comfort.
2. Vendor & Rate Negotiation
- Develop and maintain relationships with airlines, hotels, and travel service providers.
- Negotiate preferential corporate rates, including perks such as upgrades, flexible bookings, and lounge access.
3. Internal Events & Group Bookings
- Coordinate group travel and accommodation for company offsites, internal events, and training programs.
- Partner with event planners and business heads to manage logistics for large team movements.
4. Policy Development & Optimization
- Analyze travel data trends and prepare monthly MIS reports to guide cost-saving strategies and policy enhancements.
- Regularly review and update travel policies based on employee feedback and industry benchmarks.
5. Self-Booking Tool (SBT) Management
- Manage implementation, adoption, and troubleshooting of SBT platforms.
- Ensure integration of SBT with travel policies and optimize workflows for user efficiency.
6. Compliance & Travel Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with immigration, health & safety, insurance, and company travel policies.
- Implement travel risk protocols and contingency plans for international or sensitive locations.
7. MIS & Reporting
- Generate actionable reports covering cost metrics, vendor performance, policy adherence, and savings.
- Use insights from reporting to recommend policy and process improvements.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 6–8 years in corporate travel management, including international and domestic travel.
- Tools: Hands-on experience with Self-Booking Tools (SBT) and corporate travel systems.
- Negotiation: Proven success negotiating with airlines and hotel chains.
- Reporting: Proficiency in travel MIS reporting and data analysis.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to work across departments and with external vendors.
- Agility: Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
