Restaurant General Manager
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Restaurant General Manager to join our team. As a Restaurant General Manager, you will overtake a variety of responsibilities and duties such as restaurant marketing strategies, training, overseeing food quality, developing menus as well as greeting and serving restaurant guests.
Restaurant General Manager duties and responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the entire restaurant operation
- Deliver superior guest services
- Ensure guest satisfaction
- Plan and develop guest loyalty programs
- Plan and develop the overall restaurant marketing strategy
- Plan and organize restaurant operations
- Organize and supervise shifts
- Hire new employees
- Train and evaluate staff performance
- Coordinate communication between front of the house and back of the house staff
- Respond efficiently to customer questions and complaints
- Regularly review product quality
- Organize and supervise marketing and promotional activities
- Nurture a positive working environment
- Estimate consumption, forecast requirements and maintain inventory
- Manage restaurant supplies
- Control costs and minimize waste
- Successfully promote and publicize the brand
- Implement innovative strategies to improve productivity and sales
- Monitor operations and initiate corrective actions
Restaurant General Manager qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Restaurant General Manager or similar role
- Experience in customer service management
- Extensive food and beverage (F&B) knowledge
- Computer literacy
- Familiarity with restaurant management software
- Degree in hospitality, restaurant management or related field
- Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
- Acute financial management skills
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
- Team player
- Good time-management skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Culinary school diploma or BS degree in Business Administration
