Melsta Hospitals is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager – Medical Services to oversee and enhance our clinical operations while ensuring compliance with Joint Commission International (JCI) standards. This role is ideal for a healthcare professional with strong leadership skills and expertise in hospital medical services management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee daily medical service operations, ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to JCI/ACHSI standards.
- Coordinate with consultants, doctors, nurses, and allied healthcare staff to optimize clinical workflows.
- Implement and monitor hospital policies, clinical guidelines, and patient safety protocols.
- Ensure compliance with JCI/ACHSI accreditation requirements and other healthcare regulations.
- Manage doctor scheduling, medical staff performance, and strategic workforce planning.
- Collaborate with senior management to drive continuous improvement in medical services.
- Address patient concerns related to medical services and enhance overall patient experience.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- MBA/MSc in Medical Administration.
- MBBS/MD or relevant medical qualification.
- SLMC Registered Doctor with 3+ years of managerial experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of JCI/ACHSI accreditation, hospital operations, and quality management.
- Proven ability to implement patient safety initiatives and clinical efficiency improvements.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced hospital environment.
- Residence close to Ragama will be an added advantage.
