Position Summary

As a Manager, Product Management (Data Product Finance Support), you will play a strategic and analytical role at the intersection of finance, product, and data. This role will enable informed decision-making across our data product portfolio by bringing financial clarity, supporting investment cases, and tracking measurable business impact. You will embed financial discipline within agile product teams and act as a key partner to product managers, analysts, and global stakeholders within McDonald’s Enterprise Data, Analytics & AI (EDAA) team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Partnership: Monitor and manage cost tracking across multiple data products and engineering teams, ensuring transparency in financial performance.
  • Value Case Development: Support the creation and maintenance of value tracking frameworks to highlight the business impact of data investments.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and spend tracking, for product development and lifecycle management.
  • Product Decision Support: Build financial models to evaluate trade-offs, opportunity costs, and ROI, contributing directly to product roadmaps and prioritization.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with product managers, global finance teams, and BI experts to ensure alignment on metrics, assumptions, and reporting.
  • Business Case Development: Prepare clear, data-driven business cases and investment materials to support funding decisions and strategic alignment.
  • Transparency & Reporting: Establish systems for reporting cost drivers, delivered value, and maintaining visibility into product financial health.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of relevant experience in finance, business analysis, or product/tech finance roles.
  • Strong foundation in financial principles, cost modeling, and business case creation.
  • Experience supporting agile or product development teams with financial insights.
  • Proficient in tools like JIRA and JIRA Product Discovery.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey financial concepts to technical or non-financial stakeholders.
  • Exposure to BI, analytics, or data product environments is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Analytics, or a related field. Familiarity with product finance frameworks is an added advantage.
