Role Overview: Manager – Business Development
As a Manager of Business Development, you will be responsible for managing and expanding airline partnerships, driving tactical deals, and boosting revenue through strategic negotiations. You will act as the key liaison between Cleartrip and airline partners, leading efforts to unlock new commercial opportunities and optimize existing performance.
This is a dynamic, market-facing role suited for professionals with strong industry relationships and an analytical mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain robust airline relationships through regular meetings and strategic engagement.
- Lead negotiations for PLB (Productivity Linked Bonus) and tactical agreements to improve profitability.
- Facilitate the onboarding of new airline partners and expand inventory diversity.
- Analyze Revenue per Segment (RPS) data and implement initiatives to drive growth.
- Maintain and interpret airline performance dashboards; recommend data-driven actions to maximize ROI.
- Monitor market activity and conduct SWOT analysis and competitor benchmarking to stay ahead of the curve.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement promotions, tactical offers, and partnership campaigns.
- Stay updated on airline trends, GDS (Global Distribution Systems) evolution, and new B2B/OTA strategies.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Travel, Marketing, or related field (MBA is a plus).
- 4–8 years of relevant experience in airline, OTA (Online Travel Agency), TMC (Travel Management Company), or GDS roles.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical abilities and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Solid knowledge of the airline industry, pricing models, and tactical deal-making.
- Proficiency in working across departments to execute high-impact initiatives.
