About the Role

Larsen & Toubro (L&T), a global leader in engineering and infrastructure, is seeking a visionary professional to lead its Rooftop Solar division. As Head – Rooftop Solar, you will be responsible for formulating growth strategies, spearheading business development, and ensuring seamless project delivery in the solar rooftop segment. This is a strategic leadership role combining technical proficiency, commercial insight, and team leadership to scale L&T’s presence in the renewable energy sector.


Key Responsibilities

🔹 Strategic Leadership & Growth Initiatives

  • Design and execute a business roadmap to expand L&T’s rooftop solar footprint across B2B, government, and institutional segments.
  • Identify and evaluate emerging market opportunities, technology trends, and policy incentives.
  • Align rooftop solar strategy with broader sustainability and ESG goals of the organization.

🔹 Sales, Marketing & Customer Engagement

  • Lead national-level sales and marketing initiatives, including branding, demand generation, and digital outreach.
  • Manage key account relationships, close high-value B2B and government contracts, and deliver on revenue targets.
  • Leverage CRM tools to enhance lead conversion, client satisfaction, and long-term account retention.

🔹 Operations & Project Management

  • Direct and coordinate with a team of 12 Area Sales Managers and 1 Senior Manager across diverse regions.
  • Ensure timely and quality execution of projects with adherence to industry standards and client specifications.
  • Establish and refine SOPs for execution, compliance, safety, and vendor coordination.

🔹 Financial Oversight & Contract Management

  • Manage full P&L responsibility for the rooftop solar vertical.
  • Facilitate financial structuring of projects through collaboration with SIDBI, SBI, PNB, and other financial institutions.
  • Oversee compliance with tender requirements, contracts, and government regulatory norms.

  • Experience in working with central/state governments and public sector clients for solar project implementation.
