Role Overview

Sanofi is seeking a Head of Organizational Development – Business Operations to design and execute high-impact organizational capability strategies. In this leadership role, you will partner with the Global Business Operations (GBO) function and People & Culture (P&C) leaders to define the target operating model, develop workforce capabilities, and drive transformation across regions.

Reporting to the Global Head of People – Corporate Functions, this position will shape the future of talent, structure, and efficiency within Sanofi’s business operations and serve as a senior member of the global Organizational Development Center of Excellence (OD COE).


Key Responsibilities

🔹 Capability & Strategy Alignment

  • Partner with senior business leaders to understand strategic direction and competitive landscape
  • Define and align required organizational capabilities and strategic workforce models
  • Identify capability gaps using data-driven and behavioral insights

🔹 Organizational Design & Transformation

  • Lead initiatives such as Target Operating Model design, Org Design, Strategic Workforce Planning, and Skills Taxonomy
  • Oversee implementation of organizational change and transformation initiatives
  • Coordinate cross-functional projects with internal COEs and business stakeholders

🔹 Talent & Learning Integration

  • Partner with Learning and Talent teams to craft career journeys using the 70:20:10 framework
  • Align learning portfolios to future capability needs
  • Maximize local and global talent pools through strategic resourcing

🔹 Global Collaboration & COE Engagement

  • Represent the Business Operations function in OD COE forums
  • Share best practices and contribute to global OD methodologies
  • Track enterprise-level transformation activities with the Global Transformation Office

Required Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in organizational development, talent strategy, or transformation in a global business services environment
  • Proven track record in Target Operating Model design, Strategic Workforce Planning, and Capability Planning
  • Expertise in change management, skills taxonomy, learning design, and team effectiveness

Skills & Competencies

  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to execution
  • Strong in quantitative & qualitative research methodologies (surveys, interviews, workshops)
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and alignment capabilities across functions
  • Proficient in both agile and traditional program management techniques
  • Exceptional analytical, facilitation, and communication skills

Educational & Language Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Management, Organizational Psychology, Business, or related fields
  • Fluency in English (mandatory)
