Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Head Cashier located in Kurunegala. The Head Cashier will oversee daily cashier operations, manage cash transactions, ensure accuracy and proper handling of funds, and provide exceptional customer service. The role also includes training and supervising cashiers, addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues, and balancing the cash register. The Head Cashier will also be responsible for preparing reports on daily/weekly/monthly transactions and assisting in other administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications
• Experience in managing cash transactions and cash handling
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to address customer inquiries and resolve issues
• Supervisory skills including training, supervising, and mentoring cashiers
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in cash register balancing
• Ability to prepare and analyze transaction reports
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic knowledge of accounting and financial principles
• Previous experience in a retail or cashier management role is preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent is required
