Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Financial Controller to lead core financial operations, ensure compliance, and manage strategic fund utilization. This role reports directly to the Head of Finance / CFO and is instrumental in overseeing fund flow, internal controls, financial reporting, and tax compliance in a high-paced, multi-location setup.
The ideal candidate is a Chartered Accountant (CA) with over 12 years of experience, preferably in operations accounting and financial management in the aviation or service sector.
Key Responsibilities
💰 Fund Management & Reporting
- Oversee day-to-day fund flow and ensure alignment with operational requirements.
- Manage banking relationships and monitor banking limits and covenants.
- Ensure timely generation of financial reports including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Assist in annual budgeting and monitor budget execution and variances.
📊 Financial Planning & Analysis
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to uncover trends, variances, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Deliver actionable insights to support strategic decision-making by the CFO and senior management.
- Prepare Management Information System (MIS) reports and dashboards.
- Support internal audits and implement best-in-class financial controls.
🧾 Tax & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with corporate tax regulations, including income tax, service tax, and GST matters.
- Coordinate tax planning strategies to optimize the organization’s tax position.
- Handle scrutiny assessments and represent the organization in hearings with tax authorities.
- Liaise with consultants, auditors, and legal entities on regulatory matters.
💼 Treasury & Cash Flow Management
- Develop and implement cash flow forecasting models to ensure liquidity and stability.
- Monitor working capital, assess financing needs, and manage debt servicing requirements.
- Gather and compile data for capital projects and financial monitoring assignments.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Chartered Accountant (CA) with 12+ years of progressive finance experience.
- Prior experience in operations accounting and multi-location business environments is essential.
- Strong understanding of SAP and finance automation tools.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities across multiple business units.
- Knowledge of commercial laws and financial regulations applicable to the aviation or service sector.
