We’re Hiring: Experienced System Tester / QA Engineer – Jacques Technologies, Sri Lanka
Location: Onsite, Negombo office | Type: Full-time | Experience: 3+ Years (QA/System Testing with SIP/VoIP)
Jacques Technologies is a leading Australian company designing and manufacturing integrated IP-based communication systems for security, safety, and operational efficiency across various sectors including transport, commercial, corrections, and industrial environments.
We are expanding our development and QA capabilities in Sri Lanka and are seeking an experienced System Tester / QA Engineer with specific expertise in SIP/VoIP server configuration and testing.
What You’ll Do
• Plan, execute, and document system-level testing of IP communication platforms
• Configure and test SIP/VoIP servers in lab and production-like environments
• Analyse SIP signaling and media behavior in real-time communications
• Collaborate with cross-functional development teams to identify and resolve issues
• Support manual and automated testing efforts across a variety of use cases
What You’ll Bring
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in system testing or quality assurance roles
• Strong working knowledge of SIP, VoIP, and IP-based communications
• Experience configuring and testing Asterisk, OpenSIPS, or similar SIP servers
• Familiarity with Linux-based systems and network configuration
• Ability to analyze logs, reproduce issues, and document results clearly
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Highly Regarded
• Programming or scripting experience in C++ or Python
• Background in real-time communication systems or telephony infrastructure
• Understanding of media streaming protocols and network-level troubleshooting
