As an Executive in the CFA team, you will provide high-quality research and advisory services to Deloitte member firms across the globe. You will work on all phases of the M&A lifecycle including pitchbooks, deal execution documents, valuation, target screening, and more.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist global CFA teams in preparing pitch materials, teasers, information memoranda, and management presentations.
- Support company and industry research, including buyer/target identification and competitor benchmarking.
- Perform financial modeling and valuation using DCF, LBO, PPA, and multiples-based methodologies.
- Analyze financial statements and summarize key insights for client deliverables.
- Leverage market databases such as Capital IQ, Bloomberg, Mergermarket, and Thomson Reuters.
- Take ownership of project deliverables, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and timeliness.
- Collaborate closely with onshore CFA teams, bringing strategic insight and analytical rigor to engagements.
- Adapt to tight timelines and shifting project demands in a global client-service environment.
Desired Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Graduate/Postgraduate in Commerce, Finance, Management, or Economics.
- Experience: 0–2 years of experience in corporate finance, investment banking, or M&A advisory (preferred).
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Understanding of financial analysis, valuation techniques, and corporate transactions.
- Strong research and data interpretation capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and a problem-solving mindset.

1. What kind of projects will I be working on in this role?
As an Executive in the CFA team, you’ll work on a wide range of M&A-related projects including pitch decks, information memoranda, valuation models (DCF, LBO, PPA), industry and company research, and target/buyer identification. You’ll support global Deloitte teams on live transactions and business development efforts.
2. Is prior M&A or investment banking experience mandatory?
No, prior M&A experience is not mandatory but preferred. Candidates with a strong academic background in finance or commerce, coupled with internship or project exposure to corporate finance, valuations, or transaction services, are encouraged to apply.
