Position Overview

We are looking for an Associate Analyst in Accounts Payable to join our dynamic finance team in Mumbai. This role plays a critical function in managing Colgate’s global financial operations, ensuring timely vendor payments, maintaining high accuracy, and contributing to a culture of compliance and continuous improvement.

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders globally, ensure compliance with SOX and tax regulations, and work hands-on with tools like SAP and reporting systems to optimize financial operations.


Key Responsibilities

📄 Invoice & Payment Processing

  • Review, verify, and process PO and Non-PO invoices (3rd party and inter-company).
  • Prepare and post Goods in Transit and accrual entries during monthly and quarterly close.
  • Ensure accurate and timely payments to vendors in alignment with internal policies.

🤝 Vendor & Audit Management

  • Perform vendor account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies proactively.
  • Analyze aging vendor balances, debit entries, and open POs to ensure timely resolution.
  • Respond to internal and external audit queries with appropriate documentation.

📈 Compliance, Reporting & Controls

  • Maintain SOX compliance documentation and follow internal control guidelines.
  • Review payment proposals and identify duplicate or erroneous invoices.
  • Generate and analyze the GRIR (Goods Receipt/Invoice Receipt) report for reconciliation.

💡 Process Improvement & Support

  • Participate in and lead continuous improvement projects across the accounts payable process.
  • Provide Level 2 support for vendor queries and collaborate with internal customers for issue resolution.
  • Prepare MIS and financial reporting packages for management as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Accounts Payable or Financial Operations.
  • Strong proficiency in SAP and Excel-based reporting.
  • Working knowledge of Indian taxation and audit compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
