Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and people-centric Assistant Manager – Human Resources to support the strategic and operational goals of the Human Resources function at our Delhi property. This role will act as a key liaison between HR and various departments, ensuring the implementation of employee-centric programs, adherence to policies, and a workplace culture that promotes service excellence, team engagement, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
🔹 Operational Responsibilities
- Support the maintenance of high-standard employee facilities as per Hyatt International policies.
- Assist in recruitment and selection in coordination with department heads.
- Administer immigration and visa-related activities for foreign nationals.
- Support the implementation of Performance Development Discussions and succession planning frameworks.
- Help manage employee benefits, leave, and compensation processes, including participation in annual salary surveys and budget planning.
- Assist the Security Manager in compliance checks such as locker inspections and first aid box readiness.
- Organize and conduct Employee Restaurant Committee meetings and other welfare initiatives.
- Offer counseling and guidance to employees regarding career growth, personal challenges, and workplace concerns.
- Ensure up-to-date compliance with local labor laws and regulations.
🔹 Employee Relations & Development
- Promote consistent application of employment terms, policies, and local labor standards.
- Drive recruitment efforts by providing scalable hiring solutions to support department needs.
- Build strong interdepartmental relationships to support employee well-being and engagement.
- Conduct exit interviews and provide analytical feedback to the Director of Human Resources.
- Champion Hyatt’s “People Philosophy” through mentorship, coaching, and developmental planning.
- Ensure timely performance appraisals and professional development for the HR team.
- Oversee the grooming, punctuality, and presentation standards for all HR personnel.
🔹 Customer Service & Experience
- Promote service excellence among all employees through structured training programs.
- Deliver courteous, confidential, and supportive HR services to internal stakeholders.
🔹 Financial & Administrative Duties
- Support optimal staffing levels and monitor payroll to control costs.
- Prepare HR analytics reports: turnover, sick leave, and vacation utilization.
- Conduct compensation and benefits benchmarking to ensure market competitiveness.
- Support budget planning for HR operations and ensure compliance in expenditure approvals.
🔹 Communication & Employer Branding
- Coordinate internal communication strategies under the guidance of the HR Director.
- Ensure timely and effective communication of hotel policies and HR-related announcements.
- Manage and update the Human Resources Calendar of events and initiatives.
🔹 Compliance & Special Projects
- Stay informed on labor law updates and support policy adaptations accordingly.
- Uphold fire, safety, hygiene, and health standards as per company and legal requirements.
- Build lasting relationships with external institutions such as universities and hospitality schools for employer branding and future talent pipelines.
- Support the team through evolving HR practices as per industry trends.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar HR role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong understanding of Indian labor laws and statutory compliance.
- Proficient in HR systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to coach, mentor, and empower teams with a growth mindset.
