As an Assistant Manager – Finance Innovation (Brand Finance) at GCPL, you will play a pivotal role in enabling brand success through financial strategy, planning, and performance analysis. Your key focus will be to support innovation in the brand portfolio through meticulous financial modelling, profitability evaluation, and collaboration with marketing, sales, and supply chain teams. You will be an integral business partner driving commercial effectiveness, innovation viability, and sustainable brand growth.
📌 Key Responsibilities
🔍 Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Monitor and evaluate financial performance of new product launches and innovations
- Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual reports tracking sales, margin trends, and cost metrics
- Analyze forecast vs. actual performance, identifying key deviations and actionable insights
💰 Profitability & Innovation Impact
- Evaluate business proposals for new products or restructuring initiatives
- Measure profitability of brand campaigns, price strategies, and promotions
- Support pre- and post-launch assessments, identifying performance deltas and cost-saving opportunities
📊 Financial Modelling & Business Case Development
- Build robust business cases for innovation, expansion, or brand repositioning

🤝 Stakeholder Collaboration

📦 Inventory & SLOB Management
- Monitor slow-moving and obsolete (SLOB) inventory at CFAs

🧑💼 Candidate Requirements
🎓 Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business (CA/ MBA Finance is a plus)
📈 Experience:
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in brand finance or financial planning, ideally in FMCG
- Experience with product innovation and commercial evaluations preferred
🛠️ Skills & Tools:
- Proficiency in financial modeling, Excel, SAP, and BI tools like Power BI
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
