Job Summary

Swiggy is seeking a dynamic and experienced Area Manager to lead and optimize operations across assigned pods in the Delhi region. In this high-impact leadership role, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer experience through best-in-class food quality, seamless delivery, and robust area-level operational processes. You will play a crucial role in driving growth, managing people and resources, and ensuring compliance with food safety and operational standards.


Key Responsibilities

Operational Excellence

  • Implement and ensure adherence to SOPs across pods to standardize operations and elevate customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor and resolve consumer complaints while minimizing order dispatch errors.
  • Optimize kitchen operations through regular audits, food safety checks, and hygiene compliance.

P&L and Cost Control

  • Monitor unit-level performance through structured reviews with Pod Managers and take corrective action to meet AOP targets.
  • Analyze and control key cost drivers: food cost, packaging, admin, and labor.
  • Ensure accurate inventory tracking and minimize wastage, overstocking, and unnecessary expenditure.

Team & Talent Management

  • Lead, mentor, and guide Pod Managers and their teams.
  • Drive employee development through structured training and performance reviews.
  • Maintain low attrition by building a strong, engaging team culture and offering career progression.

Safety & Compliance

  • Oversee food safety, shelf life, hygiene, and sanitation standards across all pods.
  • Drive proactive safety practices and manage RCA (Root Cause Analysis) and CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) for incidents.

Innovation & Process Improvements

  • Identify bottlenecks and operational inefficiencies and implement scalable improvements.
  • Leverage data and cross-functional collaboration to introduce new initiatives aligned with business growth.

Key Interfaces

Internal Stakeholders:

  • HR, QA, L&D, Supply Chain, Finance, Catalogue, Customer Support, and Strategy Teams.

External Stakeholders:

  • Local Government Authorities, Vendors, Landlords, and Compliance Inspectors.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Graduate or Postgraduate in Hotel Management, Business Operations, or Supply Chain from a reputed institute.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in F&B, QSR, FMCG, Entertainment, or related industries.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading multi-unit operations with P&L accountability.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and team management skills.
