Job Description
IDFC FIRST Bank is looking for a detail-oriented, energetic, and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Teller – North 1 in the Haryana region. This role is vital to the daily operations of our retail branches and is centered around delivering seamless, courteous, and efficient banking services to our customers.
As a Teller, you’ll act as the face of the bank, helping customers with routine financial transactions while providing insights into various banking products and ensuring compliance with IDFC FIRST Bank’s service standards and regulatory guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- 💵 Transaction Handling:
Process deposits, withdrawals, fund transfers, cheque clearances, and other teller functions accurately and efficiently. - 🧾 Customer Interaction:
Address inquiries and resolve customer issues with professionalism and care, ensuring high satisfaction levels. - 📈 Cross-Selling & Referrals:
Identify customer needs and actively promote IDFC FIRST Bank’s products such as savings accounts, credit cards, and loans. - 🔐 Compliance & Accuracy:
Maintain transaction integrity and adhere strictly to regulatory and internal compliance policies. - 📋 Record Keeping:
Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of all transactions while preparing necessary reports as per bank standards. - 🤝 Team Collaboration:
Work closely with branch teams and support functions to ensure operational excellence and customer delight.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum High School Diploma; Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or Banking is preferred.
- 1–2 years of experience in retail banking, teller operations, or customer service preferred.
- Strong numerical ability and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer proficiency and understanding of core banking systems.
- Ability to handle pressure in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
