Key Duties
The Operations Geologist will oversee and coordinate geological activities across multiple drilling projects, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of wells. Key responsibilities include:

Leading geological operations planning for 35–40 new wells and re-drill workovers per year across multiple rigs.

Managing the SOR (Statement of Requirements) process in collaboration with Drilling and Wells teams.

Coordinating team activities to ensure smooth operational workflows between well preparation and field execution.

Supporting well design verification and BOD checks to optimize drilling outcomes.

Maintaining regular communication with service providers, including mudlogging, coring, LWD, and wireline logging teams.

Tracking well performance and design adjustments, as well as collecting and analyzing pre-drill and post-drill data for development phases.

Ensuring final geological reports and deliverables meet quality standards and timelines.

Promoting HSE compliance and demonstrating personal commitment to safety policies.
Requirements

Minimum of 15 years’ experience in subsurface or geological operations.

Bachelor’s degree in Geoscience, Reservoir Engineering, or Petroleum Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.

Experience with National Oil Companies (NOCs) or international operators such as TotalEnergies or Maersk Oil is advantageous.

Strong leadership skills with proven project management capabilities.

Expertise in well planning, operational coordination, and quality control of geological deliverables.

Excellent communication skills and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
